Please note that if you are using a college-owned computer, Citrix may already be set up on your machine. You will be able to tell if this is the case by going to the URL below (step 1). If you are prompted to install the Citrix Receiver, then it is not yet installed, and you should follow the remaining steps.
OnBase Unity Client from Windows - First time run (Citrix not yet installed & configured)
- Go to https://citrix.carleton.edu
- Login with your Carleton username and password.
- You will be prompted to "Install Citrix Receiver to access your applications"
- Check the "I agree with the Citrix license agreement" box and then click "Install".
- When asked "Do you want to run or save CitrixReceiverweb.exe...", choose "Run".
- You will be asked "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?", choose "yes". With the Citrix Receiver already installed, you may be presented with the following Security prompt.
- Install the application as you would any other application.
- Go back to https://citrix.carleton.edu/
- Click the "Add Apps" icon to choose application that you would like to run.
Optional steps (required for running the receiver from the start menu versus going to https://citrix.carleton.edu in your browser).
- Using your preferred browser, login to https://citrix.carleton.edu.
- At the top right of your screen, you will see your username. Click the drop-down arrow beside your username and choose "Activate".
- When asked "Do you want to open or save receiverconfig.cr...", choose "Open".
- When asked "Do you want to add CitrixApps...", choose "Add".
OnBase Unity Client from Windows - Second time run and beyond (Citrix already installed and configured)
- Go to https://citrix.carleton.edu
- Login with your Carleton username and password.
- You will be prompted with the following "Citrix Receiver - Security Warning," choose "Permit use."
- You may see the App(s) that you intend to use. If so, a single left-click on the App will open it.
- If you want to see additional Apps, click the "Add Apps" icon on the left side of your screen to choose application that you would like to have available on the initial screen. You may have already done this in your first run of Citrix, but this can always be modified.
OnBase Unity Client from Mac OS - First time run (Citrix not yet installed & configured)
- Go to https://citrix.carleton.edu
- Login with your Carleton username and password.
- You will be prompted to "Install Citrix Receiver to access your applications".
- Check the "I agree with the Citrix license agreement" box and then click "Install".
- When prompted to open the CitrixReceiver...., choose to Save File.
- When the application is done downloading, navigate to where you saved the file and install the application as you would any other application.
- When prompted to enter your work email or server address, enter "citrix.carleton.edu" and click next.
- When prompted to login, type your ADS\CarletonUserName in the "Domain\User:" field.
- Go back to https://citrix.carleton.edu (sign in again if need be) and choose "continue".
- Click the "Add Apps" icon to choose application that you would like to run.
OnBase Unity Client from Mac OS - Second time run and beyond (Citrix already installed and configured)
- Go to https://citrix.carleton.edu
- Login with your Carleton username and password.
- Be sure to make note of any pop-ups that may be getting blocked. In order for Citrix to work properly, you will need to allow pop-ups for citrix.carleton.edu.
- You may see the App(s) that you intend to use. If so, a single left-click on the App will open it.
- If you want to see additional Apps, click the "Add Apps" icon on the left side of your screen to choose application that you would like to have available on the initial screen. You may have already done this in your first run of Citrix, but this can always be modified.
OnBase Unity Client from an iPad
- Using your iPad, go to the App Store.
- Search for "Citrix Receiver" and chose to install it. (It's free!)
- Open Safari and go to https://citrix.carleton.edu
- Login using your Carleton network ID and Password.
- You should now be able to run applications available to you.
- If you want to see additional Apps, click the "Add Apps" icon on the left side of your screen to choose application that you would like to have available on the initial screen. You may have already done this in your first run of Citrix, but this can always be modified.
