OnBase - Scan Format

Overview

This article will provide adequate information to create a scan format as related to OnBase at Carleton.

Prerequisites

In this order:

1. Proper scanner drivers installed before connecting and turning on the scanner
   1. Fujitsu fi-6130 & fi-6130z model scanners use the Kofax drivers
   2. Fujitsu fi-7160 model scanners require Paperstream drivers
2. The scanner must be turned on and connected to the computer
   

Instructions

To configure a scan format in the OnBase Unity client:

Click on Batch Scanning

Click on Manage Scan Formats

You can now manage existing Scan Formats, as well as add new Scan Formats in a window resembling the following

Click "New" to add a new Scan Format - suggested names are below

• Single Doc - Multiple Page
• Single Doc - Single Page
• Duplex - Multiple Pages
• Duplex
• Color Doc - Single Page
• Color Doc - Multiple Pages
• Color Doc - Duplicate Multiple Pages
• 11 x 17 - Single Page
• 11 x 17 - Multiple Page
