Our college Carleton has a program called Read&Write which is , a toolbar powerful software with over 20 tools that helps students read, write, and study better.

During this time of online learning, this tool can support you as you study, read material, and complete assignments and exams and quizzes.

Web Click Here For Desktop Versiontitle& Other Devices

Step 1: Visit the link for Installation: https://www.texthelp.com/en-us/products/read-write/read-write-for-education/ 

Step 2: Click on the red(ish) "Try Read&Write" button.

Step 3: Select your operating system (e.g. Windows)

Step 4: When your browser prompts you, save the file to your computer.

Step 5: Once downloaded, click on the file to run the installer (you should be prompted for your admin password)

Step 6: If prompted, click "Accept and Install"/ The installation takes just a couple of minutes.

Step 7: Once installed, click on the Read&Write icon to launch the software. 

Step 8: A small toolbar will appear at the top of your screen. Click on the purple icon to sign-in.

Step 9:  Your default web browser will open and present you with various sign-in options.

Step 10: Select the Google option, and sign in with your Carleton credentials.

Step 11: Once the sign-in is complete, the full Read&Write toolbar should appear on your screen.

Browser NoticeCurrent instructions are for Google Chrome, but Read&Write can be installed like any common extension on Firefox and Edge. Read&Write is not compatible with Safari as of 5/5/20. If you have any questions, feel free to email aztechs@carleton.edu.
