- Make sure you have drive W: mapped. (The usual MapNetworkDrives.bat script will do this.)
- On Windows XP, right-click the Start button and choose Explore All Users. (If you can't, choose Explore instead.)
On Windows 7, choose the Start logo, then right-click All Programs and choose Open. (This will be user-specific.) - A Windows Explorer window will open with the Start Menu folder selected. Open the Programs folder in this Start Menu folder.
- If it does not already exist, make a new folder here titled "PG Calc", and open it.
- From within the PG Calc folder, create a new shortcut with these properties:
- Location: enter or browse to W:\Windows\PGM6\pgmw32.exe
- For the name, enter PGM 6.46
- Test the shortcut by running it; the ITS account has rights, as a member of the PGMUsers_gs AD group.
New: Because it uses a Windows 3.1-style .HLP help file, on Windows 7, a Microsoft update may have to be installed for the PGM help file to open. This is available in the KBOX user portal as the script titled, "Windows 7 Help .HLP Update"This version 6.6 finally switched from old style Windows .HLP help to the new style .CHM help. There will be in the Using the KBOX User PortalKBOX user portal a new item with a named like "PGM Help", visible to all users.
