Projectors

Projectors in the rooms have been replaced with new Epson projectors that are laser based, no longer needing a bulb (nor replacements).

Control/Touchscreens

Room control has been changed from AMX to Crestron. The graphics on the touch screen will be different than the old touchscreens, but are very similar to other graphics in rooms replaced over the last few years. A sample of the two graphics are below. One is for single projection rooms and one is for Dual Projection.

NOTE: On Dual Projection touch screens, the label for LEFT DISPLAY & RIGHT DISPLAY is from the perspective of the student. This will be different than the previous touch screen graphic.

Blu-Ray

The new Blu-ray players are from LG (model BP-550). The front panel looks like this:

Document Cameras

We have replaced the very old doc cams with a new Hovercam Ultra 8 model of HDMI based doc cam, similar to one of the models in WCC235. Product titerature can be found here: https://www.thehovercam.com/ultra-8/. The manufacturer has developed a tutorial for the device. You can find it here: https://youtu.be/UvBybzL2zoM. Included below are pics of the side panel and top facing buttons.

Side Panel:

NOTE: we are using the HDMI connection and DC IN only on the side panel.

Top Buttons:

AF in the graphic above refers to Auto Focus. AF-L refers to Auto Focus Lock.

NOTE: The doc cameras are only used as a source directly to the projector, as has been the case in the past. The doc camera does NOT connect to the instructor station, even though it has that capability.

Lighting & Shade Control

All rooms that once had control of lighting and shade control on the touch panel now have the control placed near/on the podium. Generally the controls are on the wall very close to the podium. A few exceptions:

Lighting issues will continue to be managed through facilities.
